Mark "Turk" Powell, Chief Executive Officer
CEO, Principal and Board Director with over 30 years of experience founding, building, operating and exiting three successful, mission-focused, service, technology and construction/engineering enterprises. During his tenure as CEO for these companies, fast growth and rapid scaling was the norm. As CEO, these companies achieved a combined CAGR that was over 40% for his 27 year tenure as CEO.
Each company experienced successful exits at above-market multiples. His broad-based expertise includes strategic planning, complex operations management, IT systems, marketplace adaptation, and exceptional market valuation. Mr. Powell has worked with the senior leadership of multiple companies in the successful execution of their business model. His expertise spanned both the public and the private sectors.
Mr. Powell is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Mr. Powell was awarded a MBA from University of Maryland where he was selected to be the William F. Holin Scholar. He served as a Marine Corps Officer and is a Service-Disabled Veteran.
Mr. Powell was recently inducted into the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Business Hall of Fame.
Honorable Dionel Aviles, Principal
Hon. "Dino" Aviles was appointed as Under Secretary of the Navy by President George W. Bush and previously served as the Assistant Secretary (Financial Management and Comptroller) of the Navy where he managed the procurement and R&D budgets. During his tenure as Undersecretary, Mr. Aviles served as Acting Secretary of the Navy.
Subsequently he became the Vice President of Policy and Outreach at Lockheed Martin. Prior to these positions he served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. He ended his active duty from the Navy in 1988, and remained an officer of the United States Navy Reserve retiring as a Captain.
In 1995, Secretary Aviles became a professional staff member on the staff of the United States House Committee on Armed Services. There, his work focused on defense budgeting and finance issues. He also did work related to Navy shipbuilding and procurement.
He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and earned his MBA from George Washington University.
